Prestigious Appointment.  In July 2006, Ike Shulman was honored by being selected to serve as Chair of the Northern District Bankruptcy Court's Bench Bar Liaison Committee.  Over the next year, he will lead the Committee's activities in working with all of the Northern District bankruptcy judges to improve the Court's administrative procedures.  A list of current membership of this committee is available at the Bankruptcy Court web site.

The Northern District of California includes all of the Bay Area and the Northern Part of California.

Ike is the only current member of the Liaison Committee from the South Bay whose practice focuses on consumer bankruptcy debtors.

In the fall of 2005, on the eve of implementation of the new bankruptcy law, Ike Shulman was selected to be on the faculty of two major bankruptcy seminars that trained over 3000 attorneys on the new law.  In the seminars Ike served as the moderator of the two sections that focused on Chapter 13 issues.
